My in-laws were collectors of all things antique and vintage, unusual or commonplace.  So, when sorting through their boxes of collectibles, it was no surprise to come across this harmonica.  My husband really wanted to keep it and learn to play, but a person has only so much patience and here we are.
From my extensive research (and I am by no means an expert), this harmonica dates to the early 1920's.  Can you believe that was 100 years ago? It has the trademark "mouse ears" and ragged sleeves on the cover design.  We didn't find the box for this, which makes me think Mom bought it without the box because it just took her fancy.
